Tractor-trailer driver in Warwick rollover crash suffers ‘minor injuries’

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) —  Rhode Island State Police said that the tractor-trailer driver in Monday’s rollover crash in Warwick suffered “minor injuries.”

The truck, carrying over 43,ooo pounds of solar panels, tipped over on the Airport Connector at about 10 a.m. The truck crashed into the guardrail, tipped over, and then one of its fuel tanks broke.

Rescue crews had to pull the driver from the cabin. The driver was than taken to the hospital for treatment.

State police said Tuesday that the roadway was blocked off until just before 1 a.m.
