Train expansion public input session to be held in Westerly

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) will hold the second of three public input meetings Wednesday related to expansion of train service.

There is a proposal on the table to bring train service to Westerly, which also has some early backing from Connecticut officials.

The meeting will be held at the Westerly Library at 6 p.m., and the final meeting will be held on Zoom Thursday.
