WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A traveling Vietnam War Memorial is coming back to Warwick this fall.

Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi will join city officials, Rep. Seth Magaziner, and former Supreme Court Justice and Warwick Mayor Frank Flaherty in a press conference Tuesday on its return.

The “American Veteran Traveling Tribute” is headed to the Ocean State from Texas.

It will be placed at Rocky Point State Park from Sept. 8 to 10.

“The display will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Paris Peace Accord, which effectively ended the decade long war and restored peace to Vietnam,” officials said in a release.

Officials said the display is an 80% scale version of the world-renowned memorial in Washington, D.C.
