Tree falls on two cars at Roger Williams Park

A large tree fell on top of two cars at Roger Williams Park on Sunday afternoon.

The tree fell across a road near the Temple of Music.

Two people had just gotten out of their parked vehicle minutes before the tree fell.

The driver of the other vehicle was an elderly man. He was transported to Rhode Island hospital with minor injuries.

Many people were visiting the park to see the Boots on the Ground exhibit in honor of Memorial Day.

The road is currently closed as Park officials work to remove the tree from the road.
