Truck flips over in Johnston amid icy road conditions

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A truck landed upside down after a crash in Johnston on Wednesday morning.

Police responded to Winsor Avenue shortly after 7:30 a.m. for a report of a crash involving a pickup truck.

The driver lost control and went off the road, hitting a boulder, causing it to flip over on its roof.

The driver was not seriously hurt, and was sent to Rhode Island Hospital.

Police said icy road conditions were a factor in the crash.
