TV Judge buys house in Newport

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) – Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty announced Tuesday the sale of a Newport home to a popular television courtroom figure.
In a release, the real estate agency announced that Judge Judy Sheindlin, commonly known as “Judge Judy,” purchased the iconic “Bird House” in Newport, R.I.
The home was previously owned by the late heiress of Campbell Soul, Dorrance Hamilton.
According to the release, Judge Judy told the realtor that she and her husband, Judge Jerry Sheindlin, are “looking forward to falling in love with Newport.”
