Two animals in Westport area reported positive for rabies

WESTPORT, Mass. (WLNE) — Westport Animal Control announced that two animals in the area have been confirmed to have rabies.

The organization said one woodchuck found on Main Road and one coyote pup from Old Bedford Road are positive for the disease.

Westport Animal Control advises residents to make sure pets are up to date on vaccinations and that dogs are licensed.
