Providence Police have two suspects in custody after shots were fired outside Luna Market on Admiral Street Wednesday afternoon.

Captain Michael Correia said that two suspects, a male and a female were arrested at a home at 44 Grape Street shortly after the incident. A .45 caliber pistol was seized during the investigation.

The shots were fired after what appears to be a verbal altercation that escalated say police. The handrail leaving the store was struck by a bullet but there were no people injured.

Police say there is no evidence that this incident is related to any of the recent shooting crimes in the city.

The investigation is still ongoing.
