BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Brockton police announced Monday it arrested two people on weapon charges during a traffic stop.

21-year-old Daunte France of Fall River and a 17-year-old from New Bedford were arrested on the charges over the weekend, according to Brockton police.

On Dec. 7, police made a traffic stop and seized two guns, with one unregistered and loaded with 10 rounds of ammunition, and the other with four rounds.

Police said the individuals in the vehicle did not have a license to carry the guns.

“By getting those illegal guns off the streets and making the arrests, the officers likely helped prevent a possible disaster down the line and kept the community safer,” Brockton police said.
