Two bodies found in a car Friday in Providence connected to double homicide in Central Falls

CENTRAL FALLS, RI (WLNE) – Providence Police received a call around 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10 for a report of two dead bodies left in a car on the train tracks near Harris Avenue in Providence.

Police responded to the scene near 135 Harris Ave. and later ruled it as a double homicide.

The deceased individuals were identified as Hailey K. Bennett and Ostwald “Danny” Sanchez, according to police.

Centrals Falls Police said upon working collaboratively with Providence Police since Friday, both departments determined through surveillance footage that the murder had actually happened in Central Falls which is where they arrested the suspect.

Jose Diaz Marmolejos, 33, was charged and arraigned for murders of Sanchez and Bennett.

He was arraigned Monday morning and was held without bail.
