Two charged in suspected dog abandonment
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) – A woman and a juvenile now face charges after allegedly abandoning a dog on Allen St.
Video from a Ring doorbell camera shows the woman dropping the dog out of the truck and saying “take care, buddy.” The truck then drives off.
Several Instagram videos went viral, showing a young woman saying she was wrongly accused of abandoning her dog, walking with another person to confront the woman she believes accused her.
The dog is in the custody of New Bedford police and is safe.
A woman and juvenile are charged with animal cruelty. The juvenile is also charged with witness intimidation.
