Two firefighters injured following Pawtucket fire

Two firefighters were rushed to the hospital after battling a fire at two triple decker homes in Pawtucket Monday night.
The Chief tells ABC 6 News that the firefighters injuries are minor and they are expected to be ok.
The flames broke out at 25 and 27 Melton Street around 8:30 pm.
We’re told the fire moved very quickly. The chief says the narrow streets, the close proximity of the homes and electrical wires made the fire difficult to battle.
“I’m devastated. I don’t know exactly what to do about my situation. I just feel like everything’s at a loss,” said Jean Occeus Jr. whose daughter lived in one of the homes.
“I just heard the smoke alarm going off and when I came out, they were like, “Get out of the house! Your house is on fire!” said Melinda Fournier. “I’m scared and I don’t know, my head’s just like .swirling.”
Thirteen residents were displaced. One of the two buildings was vacant.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
