Two injured in Berkley highway crash, one victim MedFlighted to Rhode Island Hospital

BERKLEY, Mass. (WLNE) — Personnel from multiple emergency response departments responded to Route 24 North near the Padelford Street exit in Berkley Monday night for a two-car accident.

According to Berkley Fire and Rescue, an occupant of one of the vehicles was transported by Boston MedFlight to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

An occupant in the second vehicle was transported to Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford with non-life-threatening injuries.

A portion of Route 24 North was closed for an extended period of time as investigators processed the scene.

The Freetown Fire Department and Massachusetts State Police also assisted at the scene of the crash.
