Two life sentences for men convicted in high school student’s murder

By News Staff
Two more men involved in the death of George Holland were sentenced Thursday.
Anthony Moore and Ashner Alexis were found guilty of murder and other charges related to Holland’s death and both sentenced to consecutive life sentences plus 10 years.
17-year-old Holland, a former Central High football player, was shot and killed at his girlfriend’s house last year.
Police say Holland was not the intended target.
During the trials, it was stated that Moore provided the shotgun used in the murder and Alexis pulled the trigger.
Two other men are scheduled to be sentenced next week, and Robert Winston was sentenced Wednesday to 26 years in prison.
