Two men arrested following home invasion in Connecticut

WOODSTOCK, C.T. (WLNE) — Two men were arrested following home invasion and hours-long standoff in Woodstock, CT.
Just before midnight, Connecticut State Troopers received a call for suspicious activity on the 200 block of Woodstock Road. The caller reported seeing two men carrying baseball bats enter an apartment through a window on the second floor.
Troopers arrived at the scene and met with a female who initially stated no one else was inside the home, but then advised that three others were indeed inside. The female stated that two of the individuals entered the home, uninvited, through a side window. She said they were armed with a baseball bat and a handgun.
Troopers attempted to have the three individuals exit the home and after several hours, 37-year-old Reuben Field exited the the home and was taken into custody. Hours later, 39-year-old Mark Racine attempted to run from the home by jumping out a window and heading towards the woods. He was ultimately taken into custody.
Through the investigating, troopers determined both suspects traveled to the home in a stolen vehicle.
Both Field and Racine are charged with home invasion, first degree burglary, larceny of a moto vehicle and interfering with an officer. Each are being held on $100,000.00 cash bond and are expected to appear in Danielson Superior Court later today.
