Two men indicted in 2023 highway shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha announced yesterday that two men were indicted in connection with the drive-by shooting that happened on I-95 in Providence in 2023.
According to officials, Enrique Miranda and Jarvon Brown are both facing numerous charges.
The charges result in alleged acts that occurred on Oct. 21, 2023, and between March 29 through June 10.
On October 21, 2023, RISP initiated the investigation of a shooting that happened on Route 95 North near exit 38 in Providence.
Both men face one count of drive-by shooting, one count of assault with intent to murder, one count of committing assault with a dangerous weapon resulting in serious bodily injury, two counts of discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence, one count of conspiracy, one count of carrying a pistol without a license, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm after being convicted of a crime of violence.
They’re also facing drug charges.
The incident was determined as a targeted attack on the victim that sustained one gunshot wound to his abdomen and multiple shots to his vehicle.
The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital but survived the assault.
Both Miranda and Brown will be arraigned today in Providence County Superior Court.
