Two men injured in Union Ave shooting

Providence Police are investigating a shooting after two men showed up to the emergency room with gunshot wounds.

Police say two men showed up at Rhode Island Hospital following a shooting on Union Avenue Sunday night.

Both 22-year-old men told police they were riding in a car with three other people when they noticed a black Honda Civic pulled up next to them.

They then told police a man wearing a mask got out of the Honda and began firing a gun.

The two victims were shot as they attempted to run from the car. There injuries are non-life threatening.
