Two men who murdered pregnant woman in Coventry to be sentenced

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — It’s sentencing day for the two men found guilty for murdering an expecting mother and dumping her body in the woods of Coventry.

Gary Gromkiewicz and Michael Lambert were both found guilty of murdering Leila Duarte Da Luz in January.

Da Luz was Gromkiewicz’s ex-girlfriend and was pregnant with his child.

Authorities said the two killers, who met in prison, picked up Da Luz in Brockton on December 21, 2022.

Cell phone data tracked them to Carbuncle Pond where a fisherman later found Da Luz’s body.
