Two people injured following violent dog attack in Warwick

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Two people have been hospitalized following a domestic disturbance in Warwick.

Last night just before 8 p.m., police arrived to a Greenwich Avenue home to find a dog attacking multiple people.

Police said they tried to chase after the dog, but had to shoot him to stop the attack.

An officer and another person who were attacked by the dog were taken to the hospital.

The dog was pronounced dead at a local animal hospital.

At this time, an investigation is ongoing.
