Two Rehoboth police cruisers struck by suspected drunk driver

Rehoboth, Mass – Two Rehoboth police cruisers were struck by a suspected drunk driver on Sunday night. The accident happened at approximately 6:09 PM.

Kolby Simmons, of North Attleboro, was driving a Nissan Pickup traveling north on Wilmarth Bridge Rd when he struck one cruiser in the rear, driving it into the second cruiser. One cruiser sustained moderate to major damage with the second sustaining minor damage. There were no injuries at the scene

Simmons was charged with OUI Alcohol, and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle. He was released and was due in Taunton District Court on June 6^th.
