Two teens arrested after fatal shooting in Fall River
FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Two teens were arrested after the fatal shooting of a Resiliency Preparatory Academy student in Fall River last week.
The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said Xzavien Figueroa-Valcarel, 19, and Giovanni Nunes, 18, were taken into custody in connection with the shooting of 18-year-old Colus Jamal Mills-Good.
The Fall River Police Department responded to calls of shots fired on Rock Street at 11:41 a.m. on Thursday, per officials.
Crews arrived to find Colus Jamal Mills-Good suffering gunshot wounds and transported him to St. Luke’s Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities said Figueroa-Valcarel and Nunes have been charged with with Accessory to Murder-After the Fact.
Both defendants will be arraigned Monday morning in Fall River District Court.
The District Attorney’s Office said multiple agencies are actively investigating the homicide.
