DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth will hold a 5K in support of student veterans next month.

The fundraiser will step off at the UMass Dartmouth Coach Robert Dowd Cross Country Course on Sunday, Sept. 17.

Check-in for the second annual Run for Veterans 5K will begin at 8 a.m. The race will start at 9 a.m.

Participants must register online in advance.

The money will support campus services for veteran and military-affiliated students, such as military-to-civilian transition assistance, mentorship initiatives, tutoring, and the operation of a Veteran Center.

All proceeds will benefit programs for student veterans at the school.
