Unrelated arrest made after Bellingham shooting incident
BELLINGHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Bellingham police have made an unrelated arrest after a Thursday morning shots fired incident, according to a statement from the department.
Angel Pascual, 50, was arrested and charged with possession of a large-capacity firearm, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, possession of a machine gun and other charges.
The incident occurred Thursday at 4 a.m. when officers responded to the intersection of Pulaski Blvd and South Main Street for reports of possible gun shots.
A resident reported possible bullet holes in the front of their Muron Ave home at 9 a.m., and no injuries were reported.
Responding officers confirmed the bullet holes in both the home and a nearby vehicle.
Pascual, a resident of the two-family home, was encountered by officers while on the scene and was found to have an active arrest warrant unrelated to the shooting incident.
After obtaining a search warrant for Pascual’s home, officers found two unlawfully possessed handguns, high-capacity magazines and a Glock switch, which converts a handgun into a fully automatic weapon.
The shooting incident is believed to have been targeted, and none of the seized firearms were used in the shooting.
Pascual will be arraigned Friday in Milford District Court.
The investigation into the shooting incident remains ongoing.
