Unsettled Start to the Week

As we wind down the summer season this week, it won’t be going quietly. Monday will be muggy with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-70s. Into this warm and moist environment, we will bring through a cold front late in the day. The result is a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The unsettled weather stays through the night into Tuesday as well as another front comes through with a chance of showers for the first half of the day. Wednesday will be a break in the shower threat with mostly sunny skies, but it will be a bit muggy. Thursday is the first day of fall with the Autumnal Equinox set for 9:03 pm. It will also be a fairly active weather day with showers and gusty breezes with a cold front. Temperatures really drop off for the end of the week as highs will be in the low to mid-60s and overnight lows dip into the 40s.
