UPDATE: Fall River officials plan to knock down old school building in wake of fire

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The City of Fall River is now planning to knock down the former Silvia School building in the wake of a weekend three-alarm fire at the structure.
In a statement from Fall River City Hall, the city had initially been planning to sell the building.
Now, with the damage caused by the blaze, officials are planning to demolish the remaining portions of the building.
