UPDATE: Major car crash in Seekonk leaves five injured, over two hour cleanup

SEEKONK, Mass. (WLNE) — Five individuals were injured in a car crash this morning that involved seven vehicles on I-195 in Seekonk.

According to Massachusetts State Police, the crash occurred in the left lane and median of the roadway.

Vehicles were scattered in the east and westbound lanes.

Injuries were reported to be minor, and the occupants of the vehicles were transported to area hospitals.

According to officials, scene cleanup and tows required approximately two hours.
