UPDATE: Motorcycle collides with Amazon van in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Police are investigating a crash that occurred at the intersection of Elmwood Avenue and Parkis Avenue in Providence Sunday afternoon.

Police responded to 123 Elmwood Avenue at approximately 5:30 p.m. for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

Authorities learned that the motorcycle was traveling outbound on Elmwood Avenue and collided with an Amazon delivery truck that was entering the intersection of Elmwood and Parkis Avenue.

The van was attempting a left turn onto Elmwood, and the motorcycle and van collided, ejecting the operator of the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

There were no other injuries reported at the scene.
