UPDATE: No charges after woman hit by car in Cranston

A woman suffered non life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in Cranston.

The woman was crossing Pontiac Avenue in front of the Rhode Island Lottery Monday night when she was hit. Police say she was wearing dark-colored clothing, and crossed outside of a crosswalk in an un-lit area. 

The driver did not leave the scene and was not speeding. Police say the driver will not face charges.
