UPDATE: Pawtucket police identify teenage victim in fatal shooting
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department has identified the victim of a fatal April shooting that took place in the area of Bloomingdale Avenue and Humboldt Avenue.
Jesse Baptista, 19, of Pawtucket died from his injuries in the incident that occurred at 5:45 p.m. on April 29.
Officers arrived at the scene and observed Baptista suffering from gunshot wounds, and he was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Police said that Baptista appeared to be targeted in the incident.
