UPDATE: Police make arrest in Pawtucket shooting

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department has announced an arrest in regard to the deadly shooting on Arch Street in Pawtucket on May 5.

37-year-old Eric Peterson was charged with first-degree murder, two counts of felony assault and carrying a pistol without a license, among other charges.

Police believe the shooting to have been an isolated incident involving Peterson and the victims, who were a family that lived in the same building as Peterson.

A 28-year-old man was killed, and a 25-year-old woman was injured; she is expected to recover.

Peterson was held without bail pending a hearing in superior court.

The identities of the victims have not yet been made public.
