UPDATE: Road still partially closed after Attleboro water main break

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — A portion of Route 152 in Attleboro is still closed after a water main break.

Firefighters were called to South Main and Tiffany Streets around 7:15 Saturday night, and found a car had sunk into the road.

Officials said the driver was able to get out on their own, and wasn’t hurt.

At the same time, the fire department said another main broke on Read Street near Joanna Drive.

Attleboro’s mayor, Cathleen DeSimone, said both water main breaks are now repaired.

Roadwork in the area is currently underway.

Mayor DeSimone said the department of public work’s goal is to fix the road by the end of today.
