UPDATE: Student driver crashes car through Cranston Dunkin’

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A vehicle crashed through a Dunkin’ on Reservoir Avenue in Cranston at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The driver of the vehicle has his learner’s permit and is still learning to drive, according to Cranston police.

He put the vehicle in drive instead of reverse and was told by a passenger to brake and instead hit the gas and went through the front window into the counter.

There are no signs that the driver was impaired.

According to the Cranston Police Chief Michael J. Winquist there were no injuries in the incident.
