UPDATE: Two injured in shooting in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Two people were injured in a shooting last night in New Bedford, according to police.

Officers responded the area of Matthew Street and Bluefield Street for a ShotSpotter activation around 11 p.m.

Police found several vehicles that had been struck and two gunshot victims.

They were both taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the investigation is active at this time.
