UPDATE: Victim in fatal Fall River box truck accident identified

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The victim in a fatal box truck accident in Fall River has been identified by the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.

Jean Revil, 67, of Dartmouth, was killed Wednesday when the 25-year-old driver of a box truck backed up the truck and struck both Revil and a 64-year-old Bristol man.

The incident took place at 214 Joseph Drive at approximately 12 p.m.

The driver, two victims and three other individuals were all at the address to pick up a dresser as volunteers or employees of My Brother’s Keeper, which organizes drop-off and pick-up of donated furniture.

The injured Bristol man was listed in critical but stable condition at Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.

The incident is still under investigation by Fall River police and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office.
