URI Hosts Dayton Friday

Maybe the most important home game left on the schedule for URI is Friday night.

Rhody, now 6-5 in the A-10 after beating Geroge Mason Tuesday, hosts the top team in the conference, 19th ranked Dayton. This is the team that ended Rhode Island’s season last year, so the rams know what they’re up against.

Coach Dan Hurley, understanding that challenge, hopes his guys can give their best effort Friday night.

"They’re a resilient group of guys. The year to this point, obviously, hasn’t exactly played out the way we all would have wrote it up. We’ve stared into the abyss a lot this year and fought back. So, I just want the guys, tomorrow night, to come in and try to seize the moment.," he said.
