URI Rams Fall at William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) — Jarrell Cooper carried the ball just once,
but it was for a 28-yard touchdown as William & Mary defeated Rhode
Island 20-0 Saturday night.
William & Mary (3-1, 1-0 Colonial Athletic Association) had two
big offensive plays. Cooper's run, and a 49-yard touchdown pass from
Michael Graham to Bo Revell, his only reception, gave the Tribe a 14-0
halftime lead. Graham finished 13 of 20 for 155 yards.
John Carpenter added field goals of 20 and 33 yards.
Rhode Island (1-3, 1-2) threatened once in the fourth quarter,
driving to the 2-yard line before Luke Rhodes and Mike Reilly stopped
Justin Semmes for no gain to kill the Rams' 11-play, 45-yard drive,
their longest of the night.
The Rams' Dylan Smith missed a 47-yard field goal in the second
quarter, the only time the Rams crossed into Tribe territory in the
first half.
