URI’s ‘Shark Camp’ sets sail on July 22

KINGSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The University of Rhode Island is once again giving students in Rhode Island a chance to get up close with sharks.
URI’s “Shark Camp” will set sail in a couple of weeks, starting on July 22.
Students will spend three days on the water, for five hours a day, on a trawler catching and examining sharks and other sea creatures.
There is no cost, but space is limited for sophomores and juniors.
Interested applicants are encouraged to apply who are looking to learn more about sharks, marine biology and biological sciences.
