USAO of R.I issues warning to residents involved in storming of U.S Capitol

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – Following the violence that took place in D.C on Wednesday, the United States Attorney of Rhode Island issued a warning to residents who may have been involved.

A post made on Twitter says the USAO it would work with law enforcement on all levels to prosecute those who left the Ocean State and took part on what occurred at the Capitol.

“Anyone who did so can expect to be prosecuted in Rhode Island to the fullest extent of federal law”, it read.
