Vehicle crashes into Dunkin’ in Coventry

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — Police said a vehicle crashed into a Dunkin’ in Coventry on Tuesday.

The Coventry Police Department said units responded to reports of a vehicle hitting a building on New London Turnpike around 8:00 p.m.

Authorities said it was determined that the driver suffered a medical event and traveled through the parking lot before hitting an unoccupied car and the corner of the Dunkin’ Donuts.

A building inspector determined that the dining room and front entrance should be closed, but the drive-through will remain open, according to officials.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
