EASTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Easton police are investigating after a vehicle was taken at gunpoint and later abandoned with missing parts.

Police said an employee of Mr. T’s Lock and Key was sent to Oliver Street to help with a vehicle lockout early Wednesday.

The employee told police that he was approached by two men, one of them holding a gun. He said they stole his phone, cash, and his work vehicle, a 2018 Dodge Caravan.

He said they were Black men and they both had their faces covered.

Authorities later found the Dodge abandoned nearby on Canton Street. Blank vehicle key fobs, specifically for Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles, and electronic programming equipment, were all removed.

Residents and local businesses in the area of Oliver, Elm, Main, and Canton street are asked to check for any doorbell camera or surveillance footage around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Easton police at 508-230-3322.
