Vehicle strikes restaurant in Warwick

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Warwick Police Department said a vehicle drove into the Sam’s Inn building in Warwick on Saturday afternoon.

Police said the vehicle struck unoccupied several cars that were in the parking lot before hitting the building.

One person was transported to the hospital for “precautionary measures.”

The department added that a gas main was broken in the crash, and the building was evacuated for repairs.
