VIDEO: Wild elephant wanders into store, helps himself to snack shelf

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — “Sir, are you going to pay for that?”

That’s the line we usually associate when a shoplifter is caught in the act.

The owner of a shop in Bangkok, Thailand could only sit back and laugh as one “customer” raided her snack shelves.

Plai Biang Lek, a large male elephant known for helping himself to food in local shops and homes, casually walked into the store in Bangkok on Monday to chow down before exiting, still holding a bag of snacks in his trunk.
