Vigil to be held for man struck and killed by school bus in Providence
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — This afternoon, the Providence Streets Coalition will hold a vigil in memory of the man killed in a bus accident.
October 2, Providence police say 38-year-old Lucas Garcia was crossing Union Avenue near route 10 when the school bus hit him in the crosswalk.
According to the coalition, this is the second time in three years someone has been hit and killed at that intersection.
Garcia’s vigil will be held at Union Avenue at Service Road One at 4:30 p.m.
