Vince Wilfork’s son steals and sells his Super Bowl rings

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas (WLNE)- Patriots legend, Vince Wilfork, had his Super Bowl rings stolen and sold, by his own son.
D’Aundre Holmes-Wilfork, 23, was arrested on May 22 and charged with theft of property greater than $300,000, the Galveston County Daily News reports.
On May 10 Wilfork reported to police that he was missing his Super Bowl rings, a college football championship ring, and other expensive jewelry.
He discovered the rings were missing in May of 2020, when he was moving from his home, but didn’t immediately report them as stolen because they could’ve been packed away or in storage.
A Patriots fan reached out to the former lineman after seeing that the memorabilia was posted online in a group.
The fan told Wilfork that he’d bought the jewelry for $62,000 from Holmes-Wilfork in May of 2020.
The rings were turned into the Friendswood Police Department after they were reported to be stolen.
Holmes-Wilfork was arrested on May 22, with a bond of $300,000.
He was no longer in police custody as of Tuesday morning.
