Late Bristol Police Officer laid to rest

The Bristol Police Officer who died while vacationing in Costa Rica was be laid to rest Friday morning.

A wake for Patrolman Richard Jean-Georges was held Wednesday night at the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home in Warwick.

His funeral is Friday was held at the Christian Hill Community Church, also in Warwick.

Jean-Georges was swimming in Costa Rica when a rip currant dragged him under water.
