Walshe family friend to testify about conversations with defendant after wife’s disappearance

DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — A family friend of the Walshes will testify Wednesday about his conversation with Brian Walshe following his wife Ana’s disappearance.

According to our ABC affiliate WCVB, Gem Mutlu was with both Ana and Brian Walshe on New Year’s Eve in 2022.

Walshe is accused of murdering his wife on or around New Year’s Day in 2023.

Police and prosecutors say that he then dismembered her body and disposed of the remains in dumpsters through their hometown of Cohasset.

Walshe has pleaded guilty to unlawful disposal of a body and misleading police, but maintains his innocence in the murder of his wife.
