Wanted man arrested during vehicle stop

A wanted man was arrested late Monday afternoon during a vehicle stop.

24-year-old Anthony Mendoza of Yarmouthport was in a green Chevrolet pickup truck on West Yarmouth Road when the vehicle was stopped by two Proactive Anti-Crime Unit Police Officers.

Mendoza, who was the passenger in the vehicle, was placed under arrest and transported to Yarmouth Police Department headquarters.

Mendoza is being charged with Assault and Battery on a Family Member, Multiple Felony Drug Charges, Felony Breaking and Entering Nighttime and Larceny.

He will be arraigned in the Barnstable District Court Tuesday.
