Wareham police: Officers follow blood trail from burgled store to suspects

WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Wareham police arrested two juvenile suspects Tuesday after an alarm activation of a town 7-Eleven store.

Officers said that upon arrival to the Barker Road business, they discovered a broken glass door with blood smears and drops of blood on the door and ground.

Officers followed the blood droplets for a half mile, leading them to a residence where two juveniles were found.

The juveniles, ages 15 and 16, matched the descriptions of the subjects shown on security footage from the 7-Eleven, according to police.

Stolen items from the store were also recovered from the residence, according to Wareham police.

One of the juveniles had a hand injury and they were transported to Tobey Hospital.

Both Wilbraham, MA juveniles are charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime for a felony, larceny from building, and minor in possession of alcohol.
