Warm Finish to 2024

The warmer than average air continues to pour into Southern New England as we start the week. Tonight will be cloudy with patches of fog and a chance of showers near dawn. Since overnight lows are to be in the upper-40s, it will be rain and not snow showers. Monday will be cloudy with fog and showers as a cold front comes through. The front may produce locally heavy rain as it comes through in the morning. Skies will clear for the afternoon and Tuesday looks dry. Our last days of 2024 will be quite warm. Monday will top out near 60 and highs stay in the 50s for Tuesday. New Years Eve plans will include increasing clouds with rain developing after 10pm. Temperatures at midnight will be near 40. New Year’s Day starts with clouds and rain with clearing the second half of the day. Highs will be near 50. From here we will have sun-filled days through the next weekend and dramatically dropping temperatures through Sunday. Thursday tops at 41, Friday 36, Saturday 34 and Sunday peaks at 32.
