Warm today, cooler at the coastline
Mainly sunny conditions expected
A quiet and seasonable morning here in Southern New England ahead of a great afternoon. Mainly sunny today with some passing clouds at times. Highs will be around 70° inland today, ten degrees above average. The breeze will pick up from the southwest, gusts around 25MPH, that will keep afternoon temperatures at the beaches a bit cooler. Tonight will be partly clear with lows in the 40s.
An approaching cold front will bring changes to our area beginning tomorrow. Expect more clouds as the day goes on with the breeze picking up from the south. Highs will be mild ahead of the front, most in the low to mid 60s. By late afternoon/early evening a line of rain and even some thunderstorms will cross through the area from west to east. The line of rain clears the area quickly but once it does, the winds shift and much cooler air moves in.
We’ll wake up Thursday morning with gusty winds and temperatures in the 30s. The afternoon will be partly cloudy and gusty, gusts to 40MPH possible. A much cooler day expected with highs only in the upper 40s. With the wind we will feel even cooler.
Back into the upper 50s and low 60s for Friday with sunshine expected. It will still be a bit breezy. Nice on Saturday with highs in the upper 60s. Another round of rain expected on Sunday.
